MAC Paint Pots are fabulous cream shadows which are long-wearing, easy to apply, great on their own and as a base for other shadow, AND come in a range of gorgeous colours. I pulled myself away from my ever-faithful shade "Groundwork" and opted for this little shimmering beauty...
Paint pot formula is creamy, blendable, highly pigmented and perhaps best of all, I find them to be pretty crease resistant.
The Paint Pots come in satin, cream frost and pearl formulas, and you can apply kohl or liquid liner over the top, or use a powder shadow to make the colour you use on top of the paint pot have a really intense, long lasting finish.
Onto the colour, Let Me Pop is a lovely shimmering gold which has a slight rosey tint to it. It looks more burnished in the shadow but when the light hits it you get a beautiful sheen, (think MAC Pigment in Rose) It's absolutely gorgeous and I would use it alone or as part of a shimmering metallic smokey eye. It can be applied with a brush but works equally well smudged on with your fingers for a messy modern finish. You only need the teeniest amount and can build as you go but these little glass pots last for AGES. The creamy formula is lightweight on the eyes and never feels cakey, which some cream shadows can do after a while of wearing them.
Have any of you tried these yet? You should, they are definitely worth it.
MAC Paint Pots are priced at £15 and are available at MAC counters, stores and online.
